Language has been my work for twenty years. Now it's yours to borrow.

I've spent more than two decades working with language professionally — studying linguistics, editing manuscripts, and teaching people how meaning shifts with a single word choice. Along the way, friends and colleagues kept asking for the same kind of help: a hand with the email they'd drafted a dozen times, the resignation letter that needed to close one door without slamming it, the note to a parent they hadn't spoken to in years.

The Better Letter Company grew out of that pattern. It's a small, focused practice: I write and edit the letters, emails, and other communications that carry real weight, drawing on the same close reading of tone, register, and structure that trained editors bring to a manuscript.

I'm not a lawyer, therapist, or financial advisor, and nothing I write is a substitute for that kind of professional advice. What I offer is narrower and, I'd argue, just as necessary: help finding the words that will actually do what you need them to do.
